Amy is a Registered Psychologist who works with children and adults in numerous areas of psychology including depression, anxiety, and life issues such as relationship problems, break-ups, sexual and gender identity.
Amy adopts a flexible and client-centred approach to therapy. She works collaboratively with her clients to identify their unique psychological goals, and tailor interventions accordingly using various evidence-based therapies. She aims to create a safe space for people to share their experiences, to reflect, find direction and meaning, and to build skills to cope with what life throws at them.
Amy has a special interest in healthy relationships, communication, sexuality, sexual health, and gender. She loves working with clients with diverse experiences of the world and identity and understands the challenges that this can present. Supporting people to promote wellbeing and mental health through facilitating acceptance and love for the things that make them unique is an essential part of her practice.
Amy is undertaking specialist training through the University of Sydney in sexuality, gender identity and sexual health issues (Master of Science in Medicine – Psychosexual Therapy). She is also undertaking training through the Gottman Institute to support people building healthy relationships.
Amy’s expertise also extends to psychometric assessment of psychological, developmental, academic performance, for educational planning, disabilities support and improving functioning and wellbeing.
