Dietetics

at HMC

At Healthy Mind Centre, dietitian Isabelle is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based dietary support tailored to your unique needs. As an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Credentialled Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC), Isabelle creates a judgement-free environment that welcomes all bodies, minds, and lived experiences.

Neuroaffirming Dietetics

Isabelle is a neuroaffirming dietitian, which means she acknowledges and respects the diverse ways that neurodivergent individuals relate to food, eating habits, and body signals. She collaborates with clients to understand the unique challenges they may face, such as sensory sensitivities, dietary preferences, and executive functioning needs. Together, you can develop meal and snack plans that suit your individual preferences and capacities. This approach helps clients find foods they enjoy and can easily access, making mealtimes more manageable, flexible, and enjoyable without pressure to conform to traditional expectations.

Anti-Diet Approach

At Healthy Mind Centre, we embrace an anti-diet approach, rejecting the harmful messages of diet culture—such as restrictive eating patterns and weight obsession—that can damage your relationship with food. Instead, Isabelle focuses on body acceptance, intuitive eating, and overall well-being. She works with you to build a positive, sustainable relationship with food that prioritises nourishing your body in a way that feels right for you, without guilt or societal pressure.

Weight Neutral Care

Isabelle believes that health is more than a number on a scale. Research shows that focusing on weight loss can lead to a cycle of regaining weight and increasing the risk of disordered eating. Instead, Isabelle helps clients build lasting, healthy eating habits by focusing on nourishing their bodies, recognising hunger and fullness cues, and improving their overall quality of life. Her weight-neutral care also helps individuals improve self-confidence, emotional wellbeing, and physical health—all without focusing on weight change.

Who Can Benefit?

Isabelle’s main areas of practice include:

  • Disordered Eating (including binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa and ARFID)

  • Weight concerns and nutrition counselling

  • Gut condition symptom management (IBS, IBD), food sensitivities, intolerances and fussy eating

  • Women’s health concerns (menopause, PCOS, endometriosis)

Isabelle’s weight-neutral, non-judgmental care may be ideal for clients who:

  • Are in a regular-sized or larger body with a poor relationship to food

  • Feel ‘addicted’ to food or ‘out of control’ around food

  • Have tried dieting but nothing works long term

  • Have struggled with poor body image for as long as they can remember

  • Feel highly anxious, picky or fearful around food
