Anna Clarke

Psychologist, AAPTA Registered Play Therapist & EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner & Consultant

Collaborating closely with clients and families, Anna follows a client-centred, strengths-based, and Neurodivergent-Affirming approach to therapy. Anna can support clients experiencing a wide range of presentations including post-traumatic stress disorder, aggression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, depression, emotion regulation difficulties and attachment-related difficulties. Anna is also passionate about supporting Autistic and ADHD folk.

Anna uses evidence-based treatments including EMDR therapy, Schema Therapy, Imagery Rescripting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). With advanced training in EMDR therapy and accreditation as an EMDRAA Consultant, Anna brings a depth of knowledge to their practice. Additionally, Anna is certified to deliver the Safe and Sound Protocol.

Anna has undertaken additional training in understanding and responding to family violence. They have worked as a specialist adolescent family violence practitioner, using dyadic approaches to support parents and caregivers to respond to aggressive behaviour and to support adolescents to change their behaviour. Anna has a particular interest in supporting survivors of family violence and sexual assault, having previously worked as a sexual assault crisis counsellor for two years.

Anna is also trained to deliver the Learn to Play with Parents (LPP) short course - a home-based intervention to help parents better understand and connect with their children’s play. For more details about this course, please explore the information provided here!
