This session will provide an overview of diagnostic criteria and associated features for autism and ADHD. Supervisees will be introduced to key assessment methods for identifying brain style differences associated with these forms of neurodivergence. General principles for working therapeutically with autistic and ADHD clients will be briefly discussed with further depth offered in a subsequent session on neurodiversity affirming practice. Learning activities will be provided to allow supervisees to apply knowledge learnt during this session.
